Getting It Together

It’s time to get back into the swing of things and it’s rather exhausting. It’s 9:30 at night and I’m sitting for the first time all day! I should just go to bed but I always need to sit and unwind for a little bit. The back-packs are all packed, the lunches are made, the forms are signed and put in their folders. I’m trying my best to stay organized with all the school crap this year. We’ll see how it goes. Getting back into this routine is going to take a little time and some more organization. I have good intentions and ideas…just never enough time.

I finally got through the kids art drawers today and I’m feeling a little guilty about some of the drawings and coloring pages I just tossed (sorry hun). It just had to be done. I saved the good stuff, but again, it HAD to be done. They draw A LOT!  So I’m going to sit here, sip my glass of wine, and wash away the guilt…which will still be there in the morning I’m sure.

I made binders for each of the boys to keep all of their school and sports papers together. I won’t be missing the PTO flyers again this year. That happened more than once last year resulting in bad mommy moments.

I’m hoping by getting things a little more organized I’ll get ahead of the game and be able to sit and relax at a descent time. Good luck to all of you that are getting back into the school year swing of things. Cheers!

  1. My daughter starts her first day tomorrow, and like you I have the best of intentions to stay on top of everything. Our biggest problem is neither of us do mornings, and I’m already the late Mom at daycare….
