Spaghetti squash. It is one of the simplest things to make and you can do so much with it. Add any kind of flavors you want. For this recipe I added some sautéed Vidalia onion and bacon, and then sprinkled some parmesan cheese on it. My husband LOVED it.
Simply preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
Cut your spaghetti squash in half and scraped out the seeds.
Coat the inside of the squash with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Place on the baking sheet face down and bake for 45 minutes.
Let it cool for a little while and scoop out the squash. Flavor it any way you want. Sautéed veggies or simply just add some tomato sauce. You can even spice it up with some crushed red pepper flakes or some jalapeños and shredded cheese. So many options! I encourage you to try it. It’s a great substitute for carbs.
