The Bookshelf #14 – When Dinosaurs Came With Everything

A few years ago my sister-in-law sent Logan this book for his birthday and it immediately became one of our favorites. It’s about dinosaurs of course…how could we not love it!? When Dinosaurs Came With Everything by Elise Broach and awesomely illustrated by David Small.

It’s errand day with mom and the poor guy has to go on boring errands with his mother! Travesty. However, it doesn’t end up being as boring as he anticipated. It gets rather fun and silly because with every errand they do, they get a dinosaur because, “Today, dinosaurs come with everything!” After getting your check-up at the doctor you can get a stegosaurus instead of a sticker! My boys love this story, especially when a little baby hadrosaur follows them home. We highly recommend this one.

  1. This is one of our favorites too. My son has nearly outgrown it but every now and then he’ll pull it off the shelf and ask me to read it to him.
