I just wanted to thank you all for the well wishes. I really appreciate it. Pneumonia sucks! I’m still not 100% but I’m getting there and still taking it easy. It’s always tough when the Mommy is down for the count, especially when you have a teensy-weensy bit of control issues like I do. You know I like to stick to the schedules and routines for the most part. Healthy meals with a treat here and there. Lets just say the boys have had a lot of fun with Dad this past week. Right now Dad is an absolute rock star in our house. The bearer of awesomeness. I leave you with one example. Dad was sent to the grocery store with a list of just a few necessities, I didn’t want to overwhelm him with a big list.
The list:
Apples, grapes, strawberries, milk, dog food, Goldfish & chicken nuggets
What came home:
(Shockingly ALL items on the list!)
AND:
A large bag of Swedish Fish
A large bag of miniature candy bars
Box of dog treats
ANOTHER box of popsicles
Chocolate syrup
Coffee syrup
Ring-Dings
Gummy Sharks
Jello
AND a water-balloon making kit complete with 500 balloons!
I’m thinking I should have strolled the aisles of the grocery store with pneumonia. Although I have very happy and bouncing off the walls little boys.
LOL~ I so needed this today.
Wow. Men have such a different sense of what “needs” are vs what would just be fun and easy. Oh well. Some times you just have to sit back and let them enjoy knowing you will be back cracking the whip in no time 😉
It makes me wonder how much input the boys had in Dad’s purchases! lol Don’t worry. Things WILL return to normal, eventually! 🙂
He went to the store with only ONE boy. So…including himself, that makes two! 🙂
Knowing that makes this story even more hilarious. I was picturing him with his hands full, overwhelmed at their barrage of requests. Now I see he’s just easy!! 🙂
Hahaha! 🙂
That’s hilarious!!!!!!!
When you get well, I should hire you to do our grocery shopping. I’m usually the one putting all the junk in the cart 😉
Take care of yourself and get well soon!
Hope you are feeling better! Loved the story….though I know I’m the one with the bulls-eye on my back…that is what I do……
Don’t forget to teach the boys to pick up the spent balloons….they can gag the birds….just an FYI, that’s what I taught my students, and now they teach it to there little one….we had water balloons a lot in the hot valley summertime here!
Yes Melinda, that is EXACTLY what I told them to do. I told them they couldn’t have anymore until they were all picked up.
That’s so funny, just like a dad! Gotta love it!
