School Project – Part Two

Phew. My wine glass is filled to the very top. They’re sleeping. I’m practicing some deep breathing. Peace.

Not one, but two school projects tonight. Two kids simultaneously working on projects while arguing with each other over every little thing! Yes my loves, shedding is considered molting!! There was no brotherly love tonight. Bicker, bicker, bicker. I momentarily envisioned smacking their little heads together (I admit I have those moments). I refrained of course.

With my control freak tendencies I should have had the glass of wine prior to working on the projects. Come on kids, mom has a vision on how they’re going to look! However, the projects are done and the kids are happy with them. I like clean and simple and they just wanted to keep adding more. I had to draw the line. As I wrote last week, the project was for the Vocabulary Parade, after the book by Debra Fraiser, Miss Alaineus, A Vocabulary Disaster.

Logan’s word: Venom

Deacon’s word: Molting

Vocabulary parade

I think maybe next year’s words will be fermenting and survival. Cheers my friends!

  1. This is so funny! Definitely wind BEFORE the project! I know exactly what you mean about having to let go of YOUR vision of how THEIR project should look! LOL!

  2. LOL at fermenting and survival 🙂 They did such a good job! And I’m embarrassed to admit I had no idea what “molting” meant until you explained! My oldest will be in first grade in the fall and I feel this is going to be me soon!
