So Memorial Day has come and gone and things have been crazy busy with school, T-ball, and cookouts. Sorry for not keeping up with the blog. Gosh, I’ve been counting down the days till Memorial since the first frost in late fall. It’s been a really long winter here in New England. At last, warm weather!! Well, today is our first steamy hot day and I’m not going to complain, not one bit. I keep reminding myself of that bitter cold when I just longed to feel the heat of the sun. The only thing that makes me sad about summer is my TV shows are all gone. I don’t know what to do (well there are PLENTY of things I could do). It’s just that my weekly routine is completely thrown out of whack. My unwind time just isn’t the same. Although, it’s good timing with me changing to clean eating and removing wine and Goldfish from my nightly routine, I miss MY shows! I need to find something to fill the void.
True Blood starts in two weeks!! I can’t wait for that. The great thing about it is that it’s relax time with my husband. A show we actually BOTH like. We don’t have many shows we both really enjoy. So that will be my Sunday nights, filling my Revenge void. Then there is the rest of the week. Nothing! Here’s where I need your help. What are your favorite series? What should I be watching? I’ll be perusing Netflix for the rest of the summer. I started watching Scandal this week…WOW. Kerry Washington is fabulous! Shonda Rhimes has delivered another great show.
So what am I missing out there? No reality TV please. I loathe.
I was going to tell you Scandal and there is a new show on ABC called Mistresses and it starts next week…probably not the best show on TV but a little guilty pleasure!
Is that the new one with Alyssa Milano?
I like The Glades and Longmire on A&E and the Killing on AMC.
Just read up on Longmire…looks interesting. Thanks for the recommendation.
Sheri… this is Barry’s and my dilemma, too. We watch Showtime/HBO series Girls, Shameless and others, but they are all done for the season. I was addicted to The Big C, but that series ended for good… sad. We love the NCIS’s, but are all in re-runs. I am too tired to read later at night and I don’t want to watch one more installment of The Voice or talent shows in general. We’ve turned to movies, but too often fall asleep because we start them too late. We usually end up watching 3 or 4 Jeopardy shows! I’ll be checking your comments for more ideas!
I heard Homeland is supposed to be fantastic. I might check that one out.
I hear you! I’m so bummed that NCIS is over for the season. I think that new show Graceland looks pretty good. I’m going to give it a shot!
The only time I have ever watched any of the NCIS shows was during jury duty. Graceland? I haven’t heard of it, I’ll check it out.
Yay for True Blood coming back!!!
I’m counting the days!!
YAH TRUE BLOOD!!!!!!!!!!
We watched the Netflix series House of Cards and really liked it. I’m looking for something to fill my void too.
I’m with you, all my favorite shows have ended and I’m left with nothing to watch!! I’m going to stalk this comment thread for ideas haha
I am not the girl to ask! We just got cable this year and I am so behind on everything- I am always the last to know about shows and I actually am so out of touch with TV, I forget to watch it! I end up watching old stuff on my computer trying to catch up with everyone else! I know this may sound funny, but I DVR Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday and I LOVE that! 🙂
OMG!!! I can’t wait until True Blood!!!
