Happy Summer everyone. At last! One of the things I love about summer is that we grill more. Steak, turkey burgers, portabella mushrooms, veggies, swordfish…we do it. all. I figured I would share one of my favorites with you. Mahi mahi. A great fish for the grill; it’s a bit steaky with a little bit of that delicate flake-like fish texture. Love it. What really makes it flavorful is the asian grill sauce. I found this recipe on Barefoot Contessa and now I use it on everything! mahi mahi, salmon, chicken…even as a salad dressing.
The Asian Grill Sauce
For the marinade:
2 tbls Dijon mustard
3 tbls soy sauce
6 tbls olive oil
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
I marinate the fish in the sauce for about 20 minutes. Make sure you keep in chilled and save some of the sauce to pour over after the fish is cooked.
Grill the fillets for about 4 minutes on each side. It actually depends on the thickness so be sure to check that it’s all cooked through. Pour some extra sauce on top and you have a very flavorful, easy, and fancy looking meal that’s great for company. It is so, so good!
Happy grilling! Don’t forget to pair it with a nice white wine. My mouth is watering.
Looks yummy! 🙂
