I’m participating in 22Kill.com’s 22 Pushup Challenge to raise awareness for Veteran suicide prevention. Every day, 22 veterans and active duty service men and women commit suicide, overcome by their internal battle with PTSD. This just breaks my heart. An average of 22 a day! How can we be letting this happen? These are our soldiers and they need our help. If you’ve followed my blog over the years, you know that I’m a big advocate for suicide prevention and a supporter of American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This is a cause close to my heart.
I will proudly do 22 pushups for 22 days in honor of those bearing this heavy burden in order to bring awareness to help all our Veterans.
Please join in! Use hashtag #22pushups on your Facebook /Twitter/Instagram/ or in the video title on YouTube and 22kill.com will tally them. We’re hoping to reach 22 million. If you can’t make it to 22, hashtag how ever many you do. #5pushups. etc. Together we’ll raise awareness.
