My head is buzzing with all the amazing Dunkin’ Donuts coffee facts I learned today from Dunkin’s Senior Research & Development Technologist (aka major coffee excellence expert), Janet Rock. Talk about Coffee Talk.

So how is Dunkin’ going to be making that iced coffee perfect for you on May 25th, you ask? SO MANY things go into getting that perfect coffee. The Coffee Excellence Team over at Dunkin’ will literally sample 100 samples of coffee in a day to make sure they are up to their standards. They do this every single week. From physically going to suppliers and making sure the beans are just right before shipment, to making sure they arrive in good condition and are roasted to perfection, Dunkin’ is on top of it. They take their coffee seriously…just as do I.

During our little “coffee talk” we were introduced to some great coffee/food pairings. We started with what is now my favorite, Dark Roast Iced Coffee paired with the Chocolate Cake Donut. Janet explained how the chocolate works so well with the flavor of the coffee, and boy she was right. So smooth. I’ll definitely be ordering the Dark Roast more often.

 

We were also introduced to a new limited time donut, the Blueberry Cobbler Croissant Donut. Oh MY!! It was absolutely delicious and the croissant/donut consistency was perfection. Paired with their classic French Vanilla, made for the perfect sweet treat. Don’t miss out on this one.

We ended with something a little more savory; Bacon, Egg & Cheese on a bagel. Always a win in our house. However, they paired it with a Strawberry Banana Smoothie, which I’ve never tried before. This was so yummy and I was surprised to hear that it was actually made with real fruit and yogurt. I’ll definitely be letting the kids have these for a treat!
