Another year of Cub Scouts has come to a close. They had another great year. Camping, hiking, cooking, and community service; I love that they get into all of this. We have such a great little scout community.
They did Scout for Food, Operation Holiday Cheer, Caroling at Jugan House, Regatta Race, Pinewood Derby & Scout Jamboree. All great experiences that they truly enjoyed.
This year was Logan’s last year for Cub Scouts. He received his Arrow of Light and will hopefully be moving forward to Boy Scouts.
The Blue & Gold ceremony turned out great this year. I have to give a big high five to those Pinterest-loving moms. I mean seriously, checkout out those centerpieces and that cake!
What I love most about Scouts is that it teaches them more about community. More about being respectful.
The Scout Law is to be Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
As a parent, these are things I want to teach my children. It’s our job as parents to raise kind and respectful human beings, and Scouts has been another fun way to reinforce that. So if you’re toying around with the idea of starting Cub Scouts, I highly recommend it. We really have a great time on all of our adventures.
