When your kid comes home excited about a new book, you go and find that book. Finnegan came home telling about this hilarious book titled The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors. The deep narration voice he used saying the title really emphasized the need for me to find and read this book. I mean the game of Rock, Paper, Scissors has been played in backyards, playgrounds, and schools everywhere. Kids and grownups all know the game. It’s usually used when trying to choose something, like tossing a coin or drawing sticks. Well this book by Drew Daywalt tells the tale of where it all began in a hilarious fashion.
The boys took turns reading the different parts of the book using funny voices, and had my husband and I in hysterics right along with them. Finnegan’s said his favorite part is when Rock battles the apricot. Let’s just say it didn’t end well for the apricot. Squish.
So if you’re looking for a funny book to read to the kiddos this summer, definitely give this one a try. Go share a laugh.
Sounds like an awesome book.
