The Return of Fall TV

It’s my favorite time of year!! The fall lineups have been announced. Happy Dance!! Now sadly, many of my shows just had their last season: Quantico, Originals, Once Upon A Time, and Scandal, but I’m excited for some returning ones and trying some new ones.

Shameless returns this weekend, September 9th, 9PM, Showtime. I am sad that this is going to be Fiona’s final season but I’m curious to see where they go with it. Maybe Steve will return and she will FINALLY leave with him?

Monday, September 24th on Fox, The Resident returns at 8PM for a second season. Still not sure if I really like it but Matt Czuchry is easy on the eyes and just enough bad-ass to keep my attention.

And then the season premier all of America has been waiting for This is Us, NBC, September 25th, at 9PM. This season we get to go back in time to see how Jack and Rebecca met. The season is also going to explorer more about Jack’s time in Vietnam, Toby and Kate’s fertility struggles, Kevin’s new romance with Beth’s cousin, and see how Randal and Beth are going to handle Deja.

This Is Us (screen grab) CR: NBC

The ABC Wednesday night comedy lineup is back, on September 26th starting at 8PM with The Goldbergs.

Followed by the TGIT ABC lineup on Thursday, September 27th, starting at 8PM with a Grey’s Anatomy 2 hour premier episode. Folllowed by How To Get Away With Murder at 10PM.

Also premiering on Thursday, September 27th, starting at 8PM is season 3 of The Good Place on NBC.

And the show I have been WAITING forever to get picked up by Fox, Last Man StandingFriday, September 28th, 8PM on FOX. I LOVE this show. I was so disappointed when the abruptly got canceled. I’m sad that they had to recast Molly Ephraim’s character Mandy. She did such an amazing job with her.

Later in the fall season is Riverdale on The CW (October 10th). Then my FAVORITE guilty pleasure, Outlander on Starz. We have to wait until November 2nd for that one. I’m just thrilled that they have already signed on for two more season so I don’t have to read book 6. Book 5 took me FOREVER. Season 4 has them starting a new life in America.

I am curious to check out a few new shows:

Legacies Thank you Julie Plec for another spin-off from Vampire Diaries and The Originals. I am excited to see some of my favorite characters again. (October 26th)

The Mayans Also a spin-off of Sons of Anarchy. Well I checked this one out last night. Eh. Not sure if I can do it.

I Feel Bad A new comedy on NBC that looks rather funny. Paul Adelstein from Private Practice stars in this one.  (October 4th)

What shows are you most excited for this fall?
