The Christmas Magic game is strong over here in the McShane House. Once December hits, I do my very best to make Christmas magical for my boys. Even though two of them know the deal with Santa, they still expect me to deliver the Christmas magic. I get a terrible side-eye from the middle child if the Elf hasn’t moved. So I may not sleep throughout December, and I survive on cookies and wine, but my boys are happy and filled with Christmas spirit.
For a little extra oomph, I go to Santa.com.
At Santa.com I can set it up so my kids get personalized letters from the big guy himself. I’m talking letters that unique and tailored just for them. There are two packages to choose from.

Santa’s texts are a ton of fun. My boys have been enjoying them.
- Texts start on December first and finish on Christmas day. Texts are based around an interactive story called “No More Mr Nice List”.
- The story is told over a conversation Santa has with the kids.
- Texts are interactive and each day subscribers who text Santa will receive a message within 12 hours from a live Santa. Santa will occasionally asked the kids a question and request that they reply “yes” or “no”. The answer they get from Santa depends on whether they reply “yes” or “no”
- The plot of the story is based on a European folklore about an evil character named Krampus. In the story Krampus has stolen the nice list records and the children must report daily on the behaviors of friends, family members and neighbors. To report back kids are asked to either reply to a text or to Face North and speak clearly. Towards the middle of the story Santa encourages the children to do positive things for family and friends to raise the Christmas spirit in their town that was lost after the records were stolen.
I love the positive messages Santa.com deliver to my kids. It’s a reminder of the true holiday spirit. They focus on good habits, being polite and kindness rather than focusing on presents.
I advise you start following Garland the Elf on Twitter too. She’s a hoot. Lots of fun little facts and jokes to share with the kids.
Disclosure: Sponsored post, but all the Santa love and Christmas magic is mine.
I’m bookmarking this site for next December!
