Healthy Game Day Snacks


Who’s ready for Super Bowl Sunday? At the beginning of the year everyone is till trying to maintain their New Year’s resolutions of living a healthier lifestyle, so I prepared a list of some more health-conscious tailgating snacks for you to enjoy this weekend. They are all really delicious and easy to make. Don’t fumble that waistline!

Greek Fillo Cups

Mini Fillo cups filled with olives, feta, and spinach and baked for 15 minutes according to instructions on fillo box.

Buffalo Cauliflower

Cauliflower battered (flour, milk & garlic powder). Baked at 425° for 20 minutes, toss in buffalo sauce and bake 5 more minutes.

Avocado/Hummus Quesadillas

Spread hummus and sliced avocados on flour tortillas and grill.

Sweet Potato Nachos

Bake thin slices of sweet potatoes at 300° till they start to crisp. Add beans, scallions, and some shredded cheese. Bake again until cheese melts.

Herb/Ricotta and Tomato Naan

Lighter version of pizza. You can top them with anything. Toast in oven for 2 minutes, top, and bake again for 5 minutes at 400°

All-Bean Chili

A veggie chili is a great idea. Skip the meat and add more beans to your favorite chili recipe.
