So for the past few years I have challenged myself to read 12 books a year, and have succeeded thus far. When this year began I started plowing through books making that goal, not so much of a goal anymore. I decided to change my goal for this year and make it more challenging, especially for me. I have a set group of authors I love to read but I wanted to branch out more. So this year’s goal was to read books from 12 different “new to me” authors. Well, I did it and I was not disappointed. It’s really changed things for me and I have been reading so much more now. Two out of the 12 were blah, but I have really enjoyed the others and read multiple books by each author. Here’s my list:
- Josie Silver – One Day in December
- Mhairi McFarlane – all of them
- Jasmine Guillory – The Proposal
- Jamie Beck – The Cabot series, and Sanctuary Sound series
- Jennifer Probst – Stay series
- Corrine Michaels – Hold You Close
- Christina Lauren – many of them, loved My Favorite Half Night Stand
- Vivi Holt – Make Believe Fiance (wasn’t a big fan)
- Rebekah Crane – The Upside of Falling Down
- Maddie Dawson – Matchmaking for Beginners (wasn’t a big fan)
- Inglath Cooper – That Month in Tuscany
- Helen Fielding – Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination
Good job!
I got back into reading at night and have falling back in love with reading.
I’ve added books and audio books.
Loved the Proposal…..I ended up reading all of her books. Super fun reads.
NPR has a book list that I have pulled a few off to add to my list.
Happy reading!
Wedding Party is next on my list.
