The Flatshare – Beth O’Leary

Okay, so I really, really liked this book. Like stealing a few pages whilst cooking dinner kind of liked. The whole “flatshare” arrangement was quite interesting. After a horrible breakup (again), Tiffy needs to find a cheap place to live, fast. While trying to keep an open mind, and despite the opinion of her friends, Tiffy decides to give the idea of flatsharing a try. She moves into Leon’s apartment, a total stranger. He works overnight shifts and she works day shifts. The two begin to leave post-it notes for each other. They begin with simple notes like “do you know the neighbor’s name upstairs?” Then they start to get longer and they really begin to get to know each other a bit even though they have NEVER met.

I plowed through quickly hoping to get to the part where they FINALLY meet in person. Of course there are many snags along the way, and falling for your roommate whom you have never met would probably be a bad idea. Overall it was witty and funny. Hope you enjoy it!
